Oasis' Local Press Reports From Benicassim

ABC – Benicassim sings along Oasis

The played at home for the third time. When we say home, we mean Benicassim. We also say that because the majority of the crowd was British. The thing is that the Gallagher brothers won once again. Almost 50.000 fans sang along their anthems and new songs. The karaoke in Don´t Look Back in Anger was simply magnificent. They played for more than hour and a half, including Wonderwall twice thank´s to Liam´s behaviour. They ended the setlist with a Beatles classic “I am the walrus”, which put the stage upside down.

El Mundo – Fibers face crisis with Benicassim and Oasis

And finally Oasis placed. Liam went out with one of his parkas and he did not take it out during the entire gig although he did not stop sweating. They played a setlist charged with rock´n roll classics such as 'Rock n roll star', 'Roll with it', 'Live forever' o 'Wonderwall'. Even they played Wonderwall twice. Liam, we still do not know why, at the half of the first version replied the crow inviting them to take their money back. They stopped the song, and they played entirely again. Despite of that, the show was great. Even Glasvegas paid them a tribute.

El País – Oasis drive Crazy Benicassim

Light offs. Liam Gallagher, Oasis frontman, creach the stage in a non-friendly face. He spits and the crowd shouts. He starts singing Rock´n Roll Star and he finishes his beer. His brother, Noel, remains in a second row while Liam shows his arrogance, indolence and rock´n roll behaviour. The beginning was historic, as the gig, with the first rows of the audience becoming an oven. The right time, the right place. Oasis opens Benicassim at their best. Lads are back!

Pictures of the gigs can be found here, here & here.
